The South African Peace Alliance supported by the Awakening Intuition Network as promoting partner, will be screening the award winning documentary film, Soldiers of Peace at The Labia Cinema on Kloof on 21 September. Along with being designated by the UN as the International Day of Peace, 21 September is also a day of Global Ceasefire.
We warmly invite you to the screening, which is also a premierre screening for Cape Town.
Soldiers of Peace is narrated by Michael Douglas and features an amazing cast, including Sir Richard Branson, Sir Bob Geldof, HRH Prince Hassan of Jordan, Dr Hans Blix and our own Archbishop Desmond Tutu. It is with the kind permission of Director, Tim Wise of One Tree Films, that we are hosting Soldiers of Peace in Cape Town.
Soldiers of Peace has won 6 international film festival awards: 'The World Shift' Award at Cannes Film Festival 2009, Golden Ace Award at Las Vegas International Film Festival 2009 and Monaco International Film Festival 2008. Last month it won 2 awards at the Aon Film Festival in Pasadina: 'Best Political Documentary' and 'Best Cinematography for a Documentary'. The film has been selected into 12 film festivals so far...

FUTURE PLANNED INTUITION WALKS - 2009 / 2010
Sunday 18th October at 9h00. You are invited for a walk from the Saddle Path at Tafelberg Road up to the Lower Contour Path. From here the route will take us left along past Oppelskop, Blockhouse Ridge and head towards the Twelve O'Clock Rock hole which is clearly visible from the city in alignment with the three towers. From here We would be above the peak that is in alignment with the three towers. This ruin of a old forestry lookout post and the kop itself is a marvellous spot to take in the city views.
This will also be our lunch spot. Our return route will take us past Saddle Rock with its spectacular views over Newlands Forest. This route promises to offer spectacular views over the city.

*6 Dec 2009* - Full Day Outing / Famous Crystal Pools on the Steenbras River Trail, just past Gordon's Bay. Booking for this walk is essential, as numbers are limited to 20 people. This walk is suited for most levels of fitness. Walking time to get to the pools is 90min, with breaks along the way. The waters of Crystal Pools offer a refreshing and revitalizing place to swim and relax, as you take in the awesome scenery. We will be sharing the transport and petrol costs, where possible COST.
